We really like believing our homes are impenetrable. That once we close that front door, we’re safe from almost everything out there. But if your home isn’t built out of some of the strongest stuff known to man, are you really sure that’s the case?

About

Builders are creatures of habit. We build what we know, and we get really good at it. It takes some doing to make us look up and realize that there might be a better way, and HDBuild as guilty of that as anyone else.

Since our country was born, lumber has been king. Storms decimate, earthquakes rattle, and fires rage, leveling traditionally built homes…and then we rebuild them out of the same material that failed us the first time. Insulated concrete forms have been used in construction worldwide for almost a century as a safeguard against disaster, but building codes and organizations in the United States have been slow to recognize its benefits. Even as American natural disasters grow in intensity and energy consumption and climate change threaten to ruin the planet, lumber remains the standard.

Better, stronger, and more efficient methods exist. We took the leap in 2015, and we’re now committed to creating almost impenetrable ICF structures to protect what’s important to you. We are constantly and almost obsessively honing our craft, learning something new with every wall we build. We aren’t out to build the biggest, most impressive ICF homes (though we can and will). We’re out to make this building method available to everyone, because everyone deserves the kind of peace of mind it brings.

We love being builders. We love living in the Ozarks. We will never stop growing and learning our industry, and it’s our hope that we can start building a new standard here - one that goes above and beyond in protecting who and what you love.
