Icf flood resistance
Obviously some areas are more flood-prone than others, but they can happen just about anywhere. The force of fast-moving water can quickly sweep a traditionally-built home off its foundation, leaving nothing but concrete (see where we’re going with this…) in its wake.
ICF structures have proven themselves to hold exceptionally well against storm surge and floodwater. And when flooding does occur, they’re also a little easier to dry out; the EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam prevents water absorption. While flood resistance may not be ICF’s most recognized selling point, it definitely offers just one more point of protection for what’s important to you.
